Road block part 2. Whenever I sat down to play in the last little bit I have found myself completely unable to enjoy playing jazz. I play through half a song, get bored and leave the piano. I have spent many hours practicing, just not jazz. I've been using spotify as my source this week, and mainly listening to songs I am working on and playing them.
It isn't a great starting place for beginners, but I feel as though I am able to use my prior knowledge to recreate the sounds relatively well. The problem lies in the fact that I don't want to play jazz. I'm practicing Classical or Pop songs for hours, yet I am only giving jazz a few minutes here or there.
In any case, I figured I won't update here because an update would be very boring. I decided instead to create a gif mood board for all of you to enjoy about how I currently feel about this.
Hey, Sarah! I want to help relieve your boredom of jazz and hope to put you on a different road. This is also somewhat of a personal request haha. If you've ever watched Studio Ghibli's "Howl's Moving Castle" you already know what I want to ask. If you're up to the suggestion (and challenge) I would love to hear you play "Merry-Go-Round of Life." Please update me if you do end up taking up the suggestion!!

Hi Sarah, I like your GIF board. It may be a shame to say, but I like jazz. I believe I will also like your jazz work. 😀 Remember, your musical journey is unique, and it's okay to adapt and explore different aspects of it. I look forward to your future updates and where your musical path takes you next! 🎶🎹✨ Esin
Hey Sarah,
I think we are all feeling those GIF's at this point in the semester. I also think everyone has felt that at some point during their learning project will hitting a road block. I hope you get through this just keep pushing! You are doing great!! - Alyssa Hildebrandt
