So, the title may or may not be a pointed comment towards my husband who keeps playing Halo whenever I sit down at the piano. I honestly don't notice it until I listen back on recordings of myself and realize that it is very audible. Apologies in advance for our piano/Halo remix.
This week I focused on learning the basics of adding a 7th to chords as well as a quick dip into walking base lines. For this week I chose to read some articles to hopefully unlock some prior knowledge I had and remind me of how to play 7th add chords. I enjoyed this, but found myself skimming more than anything. I fully read three articles
Honestly, wasn't a big fan of leaning this way. It felt dry, and I found my self experimenting more than anything. It was helpful, to have the ideas swirling around in my head, and made me experiment more, but I don't feel like I have learned anything more. Just maybe that I should put Duke Ellington back on my regular rotation.
This week did go alright though, I managed to get some good practice in with some chord work, and played around in improvisation. I didn't stray too far from what I am comfortable with but it felt like a step forward. Below are videos of my playing this week:

Wow you are talented girl!!! I really enjoyed reading your post. I laughed at the GIF (I hope I got that right) at the beginning of the read.
